ADRIATIC LNG TERMINAL SPAIN / ITALY
March 2021, We completed the DESIGN & ENGINEERING services of two 80,000 m3 large-LNG storage tanks for LNG import terminal in ADRIATIC LNG TERMINAL SPAIN / ITALY, each with storage capacity of 80,000 m3 and Inner container 62 m diameter x 26m in height. outer container 66 m diameter x 41m in height. The storage temperature of LNG is –162°C and is described as cryogenic conditions. MOC cryogenic 9% nickel steels for steel inner shell and a concrete outer shell. The main contribution of nickel in steel is the improvement of toughness and impact strength at cryogenic temperatures. Thermal insulation about 1 m thick placed between steel inner shell and a concrete outer shell
Over the years, LNG has been used as an alternative energy source with low environmental impact, as LNG imported to this terminal will be used primarily for power generation and fertilizer plants. WISDOM will continue to contribute to the growth of SPAIN energy infrastructure.
This first LNG Receiving and Regasification Terminal with an original nameplate capacity of 5 MMTPA. SPAIN / ITALY The infrastructure was developed in the shortest possible time and at a benchmark cost. The capacity of the terminal has been expanded in phases which is currently 17.5 MMTPA and the same is under expansion to 22.5 MMTPA in two phases. The terminal has 6 LNG storage tanks and other vaporization facilities. The terminal is meeting around 40% of the total gas demand of the city.
